I hope this is the right place to ask ...
I've just taken ownership of a new Berlingo and I'm unnerved. It has what I think is called the 'load retaining partition'; a pretty functional steel separator between the rear seats and storage. I assumed it'd be straightforward to remove but it looks well bolted in. There's a tiny little plastic tool clipped to it that doesn't seem to do anything useful and I can't match up the diagram to anything. I can't find any instructions on how to remove it. Do I just unbolt it and is it ok to do so? I had a Berlingo Flair about 8 years ago and it was nothing like this!

It's very easy to remove. Just remove the upper and lower bolts plus middle clamps from the partitition and lift it off the hooks. Have a friend help you to slide it out. It's bit tricky. I've done it many times so I can do it alone.
You'll have two protuding bits left on the floor, just unbolt these as well and put in storage. The roof hooks can be left in place and used as bungee cord attachments or something. Or remove completely.
The yellow key is for unlocking the rear hatch from the inside I think.

Thanks for this. I really appreciate it. It's just what I was looking for, a simple guide. It didn't look particularly complicated but I'm a bit nervous never having owned a brand-new car before and all the little things are making me a bit anxious. It looks so much better now, and no longer feels like a prison van.

I'll check this tomorrow. It wasn't a difficult job in the end and yes, I ended up putting the roof brackets back into the roof as they're handy, albeit unsightly, for hooking on bungee cords to help keep the bikes in place.
