150d flair efb battery on way out any recommended battery

Car only just over 3 years old 33k miles and battery seems to be failing. 

VARTA battery from new. With winter coming decided to check its health.

Sealy battery tester measuring internal resistance says renew battery.

This seems to early to me.

Can you good people recommend a reliable replacement brand stating EN spec?
 
Just another thought I measured it's health whist still connected to the car by connecting to body earth and positive spring clamp, is corrosion on terminals likely to cause a faulty reading?

Three years seems very quick for a battery failure from new. Have you checked with either Citroen [or Varta] as to whether the battery would still be under some sort of warranty, as even the cheaper batteries tend to have at least a three year warranty with normally the well known brands giving five years?
With regard to terminal corrosion, that can cause a higher resistance, so may have contributed to the reading on your battery health meter. Disconnect and clean off the terminals, then re-check the battery. Before refitting terminals apply some petroleum jelly to the terminals to stop future corrosion.
Remember to adhere to the PSA group battery disconnect regime, which is to wait for the vehicle to go into 'sleep mode' [ie everything has had time to correctly shut-down] before battery disconnection.

Yes S/S and it's working. I also occasionally tow a caravan and circuit to fridge is used.

Btw what is battery disconnect regime. There wasn't anything in the manual about it.

What is sleeping mode?

Basically, after turning off the ignition on the vehicle, exiting and locking the vehicle in normal use, the vehicle systems and ECU/BSI enter a shutdown mode, to correctly shut all the systems in the vehicle down before entering the full 'sleep' mode. Think about it in the same way as when you shut down a computer in that Windows makes sure everything is closed/saved before turning off. A modern vehicle is acting in the same way to make sure all the onboard systems are correctly shut down. PSA group vehicles [in the past and I have no reason to think newer models are any different] have been quite susceptible to having problems due to the main ECU/BSI getting corrupted and some functions not working correctly after battery disconnection.

You need to open the vehicle bonnet and then wait approx 5 minutes to let everything go into 'sleep' mode before disconnecting the battery.
