Passenger seat buckle plastic piece missing?

Hi,

I have a 2020 Berlingo K9 XL and since I bought the car I have had to depress the red button to be able to insert the seat belt in the passenger seat.

Because of this it did not pass inspection today so I need to resolve it somehow (allthough its still working fine).

I am a bit unsure though if this is normal behaviour or not? Should both center and passenger seat latch withot having to press the red button?

I sourced the part number on the "faulty" seat belt latch to be 9816315077 and/or 34236842A.

If I look into the seat belt latch I instantly see the metal locking piece, on the two other working ones I see some plastic covering the piece.

Maybe this I do not even have the genuine part for Berlingo XL?
Would be great if anyone could confirm the part number and that this is actually not how it should work?

I have a theory that center and passenger might be mixed up, perhaps the center belt is not locking without depressing the red button?

If anyone has any experience in removing seat latch it would be great to know as well, seems like you need to remove the complete center and passenger seat to be able to change it unfortunately...

I have a 2020 van version of the K9. I looked at the 3 seatbelt buckles yesterday and they all look similar, and the latches click into position in all 3 without having to press the red buttons. It isn't clear to me from your pics, but do either of them show the 'defective' buckle?
