[Engine] Turbo Position Sensor Part Number Please
#1
Got a fault with the engine management light on and the reader says it's due to the turbo position sensor playing up.  Does anyone know the correct part number so that I may get a replacement online?

Citroen Berlingo 2012 1.6HDi 75 L1 Enterprise - BJ62AKU

Thanks people.

Firstly, are you using either a lexia/diagbox to get your codes, as other code readers to not work well on PSA group vehicles?

Assuming that you are, have you checked the catcar info site for your part number. If you enter your VIN on the first page, then the parts catalogue you bring up will be for your vehicle. Once you have the part number, then you can just do an on-line search.

Neither - I took it to my local garage and they used their diagnostic.

Yes I tried Catcar using my VIN but I have no idea where to find that part despite it being attached to the turbo (obv.).  Catcar for my B9 is nowhere near as good as it was for my Transit Connect.

VF77B9HN0CJ674813 is the VIN if you get more luck.

Thanks.

Have you tried getting the part from your local " Motor Factors "

Worth a shot as these shops will supply all the local garages with the parts they use when fixing a customers car unless it is a " special " and they then obtain it from the main dealer.

Not forgetting that sensors etc usually have their " part number " on them.

Sometimes ink printed, sometimes a sticker, sometimes moulded to the surface.

Worth trying to take a look even if it means removing some bits first.

Yeah, I had considered that but will get a chance to poke around tomorrow in the daylight.  It looks a lot like this one;

Not a lot of money and I suppose that I could just take a punt and try one of the many that are on evilbay.

If you buy from eBay check out the seller before purchase many are proper " motor factors " selling online as well as from the street corner and are to be recommended.
Most of them will check the parts will suit your reg / vin

Not the ones in China won't :Smile  It's quite an annoying fault as the van drives perfectly and the light has not (yet) returned since the codes were cleared.  The two occasions that it has come on were during 90 mile motorway runs at a steady 60 mph.  First thing I'll do is unplug it from the loom and check the connector for any corrosion/oxidisation; sometimes, the simplest fixes are the obvious.  Oh ... and then it will disappear after 300 miles.  Bit odd.

Is there a better parts directory than Catcar, as in more comprehensive?

Thanks.

China ! I’d not touch with anyone’s let alone mine !!!

If the fault is as you say you could probably live with it for a while as you quietly explore, a fortunate position.

Strange comment - where do you think that the bulk of car parts are manufactured then ..?
