comfort electrics problems

2009 berlingo multispace 1.6 hd.
some weird problems that have been going on for a year or two.

window switches, try to open the window a fraction, it might stop or open completely (not good at 70 in winter) the window might close if Im lucky I changed the switches a few years ago (horrible job). get out of the car and the window will close if I'm lucky

next problem lights. main beam might come on but eventually it will. then when I get to where I'm going, switch lights off and they come back on a few seconds later.

Do these switches go through the computers to operate these functions?

Any help greatly appreciated, I suspect a job for the garage.

You could try a Built-in Systems Interface (BSI) Reset.

Window: reset the anti-pinch system: raise the window fully up, and then keep the up-button on for some more seconds. Now the window regulator should have learned the up position correctly.

Lights issue could be the stalk contacts have gotten gunked. The stalk end can be dismantled, start at prying the end cap off, and then the lights barrel clips should be visible. At this point before continuing it would be wise to put a plastic bag over the stalk, as further dismantling may spray tiny springs etc. around.

done the Sol method, windows seem ok now but lights still have a life of their own
