Anybody insuring a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle?
Last year I took out policies with Aviva and with Hastings Direct only to have to cancel them when they ’clarified’ that they wouldn’t actually cover the wheelchair adaptation.
The situation seems to be that whilst they’ll let you state that the vehicle has been adapted for wheelchair access and take out a policy they wouldn’t actually cover the cost of repairing/reinstating/replacing the wheelchair access (ramp) part of the vehicle.
Anyone else in a similar position?
Any joy with ‘normal’ motor insurers?
