Heater blower relay

Was having trouble with the blower fan in the van. Found out it was the relay so I replaced it. It blew again so replaced it. Lasted a few weeks now I think it’s gone again. Any idea what the problem could be?

Did you replace it with a 'generic' relay or an original? A lot of the generic [cheaper] copies are of dubious quality.

Are the symptoms the same?

There are two items that normally fail in the system. The relay is one and the other common component failure is the resistor pack.

Less common [but can also happen] is a sticky/jamming fan motor, which was the case in my Berlingo Multispace.

Ya I just got a couple from super cheap auto. The two lasted about the same time so you are probably right. The one that came out first was green with a Citroen badge on it dated the same year as the van 2008. I’ll try and get an original part for it instead. I changed the resistor pack a while ago as it was only working on setting 4. Thanks for your help lad??

You probably know this from your original the OEM Part number of the relay is OMRON 9620725080  rated at 35/15A  [well that was the original fit on my 2008 Berlingo B9 Multispace]
