In my case,
This didn't work,

This did,

Using a method similar to this,

(I did not use a pressure washer, just a hose.)
Stuff you add to the fuel tank is also unlikely to work.
BUT
This assumes the DPF IS blocked. We can't tell you for sure that it is. Thank you very much. But I live in student accommodation that I don't have such place for me to do this. Do any garages can do this with a reasonable price, or can I do this in public car parks legally here in UK? Thank you very much.

B&M in Yoker seem to have a decent reputation for their BMW and MINI work, and also do DPF work.
I haven't used them myself, and have no idea what they would charge.
When mine was blocked, I was getting "risk of filter clogging" warnings. If you aren't, it may be something else.
DIY on a carpark\on the street? It's a filthy job to wash it out, so you may struggle to go unnoticed.

Thank you very much! Sorry I forgot to tell you guys that now I moved to Newcastle upon tyne, although I still need to go to Glasgow for several times as I have many things left to do there so this can also help.

Hi - can you update us please? Is the warning light still off? Did you use the additive?
Mine started coming on again intermittently for just brief spells. I added a tin of STP to the tank, been on a good few long runs and the light hasn't appeared again.
I wired in an LED to the heated door mirror. That comes on just very infrequently and stays on for only about 10 - 15 seconds at a time.
TBH I'm not really worrying about the warning light coming on now. Good long runs and the occasional tin of fuel additive seem to work.

It's still on no matter how many STP I add. I went to the garage again and they scanned again, this time is different from the last time and it is not DPF, it is fan problem and that garage can't repair. I have an assignment this week so I need to find another garage next week.

Okay hope you get it sorted. Please keep us updated because others may have (or may get) the same problem. Thanks.
