I'm sure there must be another reason!

Yes as Multispacer says above, I thought the matrix was leaking and causing the footwells to get quite damp, and I didn't feel like tackling the massive dismantling job that replacing it would involve. Though I can't say that disconnecting it and putting in a new loop of hose was too easy either, and I'm still getting some fluid in the footwells, though that's now just water.  As for not needing a heater, well I don't use my M49 very much, and I just wear a lot of clothes lol.

Got the answer then, thanks.
Now a 2019 K9 1.2 petrol.
Before a 2010 B9 1.6 HDi diesel.

A little late to this thread. I have & have used an Ambro Boot Jump car camping set up. Its not fixed to the car and I remove it at the end of Summer. Like other posters the car is not modified/tampered with in any way. HMRC is quite clear on van conversion rules and under pressure from the big players have made it almost impossible for the DY1er to get a "new" V5 hence the motor insurance issue. FWIW my boot jump is insured under my home contents as expensive camping equipment and should the worst happen I should be covered.
