Driver's side electric window dead
#1
The driver's side window control doesn't move the window when you press it. I hoped it was a fuse but the passenger-side window works fine (apart from the usual loud screeching).

Is there anything a non-technical owner like me could look at to diagnose/fix this before taking it to a garage?

It's recently been in for some work but I hadn't tried the window until a week after so I don't know if it's as a result of that or not.

To be honest, even if I manage to get to switch panel, I don't really know what I'd be looking for. Would I need a kit to test any of the connections or am I likely to see something broken/out of place?

I'm a complete novice when it comes to switches and anything electrical!

If like mine it's just a knackered switch then it's a straight change

IIRC it's just plug the connectors in to the electric  socket on the back of switch
