Morning All,
I have a 2014 Berlingo 1.6HDI, for a while now in the cold mornings, when I first start the engine it sort of just coughs at me, like the engine tries to turn over but just won't.
Quick question - if the glow plugs were at fault would it throw up a trouble code.
I have noticed the battery light on the dash, every so often the battery light is flashing, but it doesn't do it all the time, mostly just when its been really cold overnight.
So first off I was thinking put a new battery on it, see if that solves the problem.
Can anyone think of anything else that might be causing the problem before I get started.
After a few attempts the engine does turn over and run fine, I was watchiung the glow plug indicator on the dash and after the third attempt they wern't even coming on.
Cheers
John
