All NS front head lamp bulbs blown?
#1
Just noticed yesterday as I pulled up behind a car at dusk. Never had that happen with any vehicle, before I start investigating is there a single fuse that services each lamp unit?  Besides just replacing the bulbs is there anything else I should look for? TIA

Our work vans ,iveco, previously Mercedes always blow the nearside bulbs
Therories include extra potoles on that side and puddle splsh dropping the temperature suddenly.
My explanation after watching them changing them is handling the glass with bare fingers.....
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

When you say all NS head lamps blown, there is only one head lamp surely [it does both dipped and main beam] and the other lamp in the unit is a side light.

I didn't find that the NS lamps were any more likely to fail than the OS.

I found during my eight years of B9 ownership that the side lights 'blackened' over time and either then failed or were just very dim and needed replacement. The main/dipped headlamp needed replacement probably about every three years on average

I did always wear gloves when replacing and did go for better quality lamps but even though good quality, the brighter Osram Night breaker lamps I did find used to fail after a few years, which I suppose is the trade-off for having a brighter lamp.
