The day has finally come, and my cherished and loved, but horribly abused 2005/200,000Km Berlingo has to go to "a farm in France"....
It has a brand-new starter-motor, new exhaust, tow-bar, full roof-rack (and set of roof-bars).
It (she!) starts at the mere thought of turning the key.. (provided you allow the heater-plugs to do their thang!)
It WOULD pass the MOT, with a (very) little work..
What should I do?
Take her out for a candle-lit supper?
Lead her gently in to a field?
(If I had a field, I would do exactly that, and bring her carrots and sugar-lumps)

Why not try and sell it?
Or maybe offer it to retroshite.com - if it's their kind of vehicle, they might come and collect it.

Same colour & year as my first Berlingo Multispace a 1.9d. Ex demo bought in 2006. Painfully slow & dodgy even when overtaking. It used to run out of steam on motorway inclines overtaking trucks. Most embarrassing.
Now on Berl no4. If I had kept the first one it would have 210k miles on the the clock & the 1.9 diesel would probably still be running sweet.

The car lives on for at least another year.
Ive given vehicles away for nothing before and even for a tightwad like me its a cathartic experience
Going to france for a while is a euphemism for being detained at her majestys pleasure
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

Do as I have done and keep it. Mine (Diesel) has a low road fund, does n mpg and has everything fitted that I want fitted.
Make life easier - go automatic.
