I tonight have driven the berlingo i so hate/ not really and co own into a horrific puddle down the Cloch road in Greenock if anyone knows it, and I hit it doing 50mph and I am shocked yet terrified and angry at my self for not being more careful in a near fargile 18 year old van, and the fact that I did not hydrolock the poor DV6B It possesses. The water came right over the bonet and roof for well over 30 seconds, and by the time the BE4R gearbox allowed me to second gear to stop the mighty DV6B from stalling when it bricked walled in speed due to the water, My question is why didnt it die considering my 1.0 Ecoboost Fiesta or my Dad who the van really does belong to Focus 1.5 TDCI would have died instantly.
The passengers foot well is a bit wet which considering a hydrolock, is a Scott free card so new door seals required but, am I lucky or horrifically stupid for my lack of hazard perception or both simultaneously. I won't be offended either or.
