Hello,
I'm new and this is my first post, so be gentle...
I owned a Berlingo MPV over 15 years ago, it was a 1.6 petrol and it proved excellent.
After ventures with various vehicles inbetween time, I am considering the purchase of a brand new Berlingo. Initially the 1.5 HDI M Max was my target, but after reading loads of DPF/Regen issues, I've been put off. So now my focus is the 1.2 Puretech petrol engine. I've had a 3-cylinder VW before and was not too happy about the 'trump' of the 3-cylinder drivetrain; is the CItroen version equally 'trumping'...?
Also are the "wet belt" issues now fixed, is the belt now replaced with a chain in the new versions (~2024 onwards)?
I would love a test drive but there aren't many Citroen dealers around here and they only have the E-Berlingo in stock, which I have no desire for.
Can any owners of the latest version using the above 1.2 engine advise on issues/problems encountered? Appreciated.
