Hi!
68 plate berlingo with 122k on. After driving for a while in urban areas (and the clutch getting warm perhaps?), when pulling away in first I get a rather horrible judder. It doesn’t slip or anything and once engaged it pulls away strongly. All other gears are ok. Anyone else had this? It’s done this for the last 30k miles so presumably it’s nothing serious?
On the subject of the clutch, I recently drove a new Kangoo and it really highlighted just how horrible my clutch is! On my Berlingo it’s heavy, the pedal action isn’t very smooth and there’s this very strange and somewhat dangerous dead spot in the accelerator. It’s difficult to describe the latter, but if the clutch is depressed and the van is rolling forward (say approaching a roundabout), it’s as if the ecu restricts the accelerator as there’s a delay when trying to pull away.
Anyways are there any adjustments or anything that can be done to help any of this?

Probably wont be the cause but its not impossible.-actuator bouncing on an air bubble.
Youd kick yourself if you dismantled the whole engine bay, only to find it was something quick and fairly simple that you could have eliminated first.
Its on the brake circuit so yould be able to change all the fluid and bleed the brakes at the same time so it wouldn't be a complete wasted effort..
It is on my to do list.

Don't overthink what is probably a mechanical fault. You can certainly try bleeding the clutch, checking the engine mounts, but most likely the clutch is worn out.
The throttle pedal on the b9 is electronic. If it doesn't move evenly, replace it, used ones are cheap. You can check the throttle readings if you have suitable diagnostic tools.

Good morning all, I’m keeping an eye on this one as the same is happening with mine a 2012 model with 91,000 on the clock.

I had a MK1 Astra which had a chronic judder
This was the engine bobbing around under the torque.
It was fixed with new engine mounts
I notice my Berlingo will have the same type of issue ( although not near as bad) on a dead cold start.
It is on my to do list.
