2017 berlingo apple car play/mirror link

Hi all.

I have a 2017 berlingo with the big touch screen panel.
I do not use a apple iphone, I would like to use the van for satnav as I know it will work phone with a iphone as tried it via my daughters phone with no issue, I use android but try and use via mirror link etc and it will not work at all via satnav, tried a usb cable and adapter and still same will not work, I have a samsung S21 and it works fine for the bluetooth phonecalls etc but for satnav nope nothing, anyone have any ideas please?

I have not tried it myself, but the Carlinkit 4.0 adapter is one I have seen mentions of being able to convert wired carplay to wireless carplay -and- wireless android auto.

We have a 2016 Citroën Berlingo Multispace XTR BlueHDI 100 with the 7” touchscreen Head Unit.

I’ve been using the CarlinKit 4.0 for almost 2 years now.

It’s not perfect but it is very useable.
I’ve done numerous trips using Google Maps via Android Auto.
With the display on the Head Unit.

The biggest annoyance is that the bottom edge of the display is clipped.

   

MirrorLink is now defunct I’d be surprised if you found a phone that supported it now.
So, I’d suggest that trying to get MirrorLink to work is a waste of time.
