Didn't use a buffing machine at all, did it by hand and used a sanding and buffing pad attached to a battery drill. Probably took longer than using a buffing machine but was just as effective without spending money on extra stuff that you're probably not going to use that often?

Indeed. If you've got a cordless drill you have what you need.

Arguably, the bigger machines are more difficult to work with at the edges of the headlamp, avoiding going on to the paintwork and bumper.

Thid is the one I got (didnt pay that much though)

Says no power tools required

Interesting guarantee - " lasts as long as you have the car "- we will see.

I would be working on the side of the road so the job would be subject to dust and weather.
In two minds to get the bumper off and take the lamps into the shed.
In that case a motorized paint polishing device of some kind wouldn't be much of a burden and would be handy getting the body paintwork restored.
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

Some bold statements there.. especially for the price point.. Be funny to know how many will be othered in years down the line if it doesnt provide the guarantee it states. But cant do any harm to give it a whirl. Be good to see pics/vids and your results and opinions.. Wink
