Indeed. If you've got a cordless drill you have what you need.
Arguably, the bigger machines are more difficult to work with at the edges of the headlamp, avoiding going on to the paintwork and bumper.

I would be working on the side of the road so the job would be subject to dust and weather.
In two minds to get the bumper off and take the lamps into the shed.
In that case a motorized paint polishing device of some kind wouldn't be much of a burden and would be handy getting the body paintwork restored.
It is on my to do list.
