Hi all,
2018 Peugeot Partner 1.6 Van HDI Blue, bought about 9 months ago. It has a small leak on the exhaust, at the join where the catalytic converter meets the flexi pipe - you can see the soot deposits in the photo.
The flexi pipe was replaced by the vendors mechanic just before I bought it, and I think the leak was probably there the whole time I have owned it
I removed the clip thats hold the two parts together, and there is no sort of gasket between the two parts, just metal to metal. I assume that there should be some kind of gasket there - is there a specific part for this, or should I use some sort of exhaust assembly paste? I have some K2 high temp (350 deg C) silicone, that claims to be sensor safe, could this be used?
Any help appreciated.
