Hey guys my dads van cut out recently due to the Auxiliary belt coming apart and wrapping its self behind the the crank pulley causing the engine speed to bee intermittent due to damaging the crank sensor or possibly the trigger wheel behind the pulley.
Do any of you fine people know the torque spec for the crank pulley and if possible where to get a hold of a new trigger wheel if it is damaged.
Cheers as always guys.

Have you removed all of the timing belt covers to check that none of the Auxiliary belt has found its way inside and that the engine timing is still correct?
My mates Aux belt shredded & snapped, he had it replaced, driving a few hours later the engine went bang.
A piece of the old Aux belt had managed to get in & work its way under the timing belt which caused it to jump position and cause the pistons to contact the valves.
My advice don't drive the vehicle until it is checked.
I believe the crank pulley bolt is 30Nm then 180 degrees. (That will be close enough)

Thanks for the advice guys as always. I'm Gutted to say the aux belt did wrap its self in the timing belt causing it to throw the cams out of time. I re timed it and now there is no compression...im gutted. 19 years old and an DV6BTED4 that stared every time to a key tap now dead. My fault really, I should have changed the Aux belt years ago but i thought it would have been changed with its first Timing belt. This year has not been easy and oversights and passed family members have got in the way. I'm just gutted a good full spec m59 600 Enterprise has to die due to a aux belt. Ive done all i can and my dad is no longer willing to fund the van and if I'm honest with everything else that really needs doing it needs 2K or more dumped in it plus thanks to Scottish climate the rust is getting to it faster than i can prevent it. this van has been in our family for 17 years. I will miss it. Thank you as always guys, you have helped me greatly trying to keep YB07 EXA on the road for all these years. Unfortunately its journey is at an end. Gutted man

Sorry to hear of your misfortune.
You're obviously quite attached to the van and it's worth more to you than on paper but being realistic I think you are probably doing the right thing as it would be a fair bit of work & expense to get the engine back up & running.
onward & upward.
Good luck.

i was under the impression that they can be fixed with a new camshaft as the lobes are designed to dislodge preventing the valves colliding with the pistons.
Worth checking as you might get a bit more service for a little outlay
The vehicle is now at a point where depreciation isnt harming you anymore so its running at-cost.
It is on my to do list.
