1.6hdi 2007 exhaust fumes smell

Hi all.

have a nice 1.6hdi 2007 berlingo.
seems to have a strong exhaust carbon smell, within cabin and from outside of the van.
So far its had the following.
New injector seals.
Maf sensor.
all pipework looks ok.
nothing obvious leaking.
but upon driving van you have to have the window open as its quite toxic or a smell not to keep windwows closed!
anyone have or had this on this year of berlingo and know the issue,.
I am thinking its a exhaust manifold or flexi pipe issue now as unable to really find anything obviosly wrong.
