Repair recommendations while servicing DPF

Hi All

We've had a lot of bongs and warnings on our car and I've currently got the DPF out to clean up. A 2014 90 with 160k

The car had been losing economy a bit for a while, had the fan running after switch off at max speed after every run for a few weeks, then had the warnings 'Engine Repair Needed' and 'Risk of Filter Clogging'.

After research, I'll probably clean out the DPF and get the Eolys refilled - this was a new one on me, and is it still the case that it's Citroen dealer/specialist only who can program the replacement pouch in?

I've also changed the fan resistor in front of the radiator, and it looked like the old one had broken (possibly happened once it was removed, but I'll assume it was broken in situ already).

Are there any other bits recommended to replace, service or clean while I've got things apart? Any sensors liable to go faulty? The EGR valve possibly the cause to the whole thing? Anything else to look for?

I suspect the Eolys has gone and is the root of it all, but I'd like to make sure I've got things covered if they are a likely problem too.

I don't know your exact model, but many hdi's with a DPF can use new glow plugs, as they can become a source of fast DPF clogging. 

My own Berlingo had issues with diesel injectors -at the end had to replace them all, but I never found out what the reason was they failed...

You can program the pouch replacement yourself.
 To do this, you will need a Chinese clone of Lexia/Diagbox (an unofficial copy of the original diagnostic equipment), which can be ordered on AliExpress...

I don't know your exact model, but many hdi's with a DPF can use new glow plugs, as they can become a source of fast DPF clogging.

And I would add to that - don't just change things, test.

Glowplugs can be checked using a meter and a little time, without messing about trying to remove them.

(off the top of my head, not sure if the diagnostics support detection of failed plugs.)
