Battery light on all the time now.
That's an £80 Im not getting back.
The remote chance that it's not the alternator is what's stopping me from just buying one to see if it's the issue
Experimenting has become expensive.
I'd rather pay out and let someone with kit and expertise do it.
Looks a bit of a headache to get to with my current state of mind even though I did a cam belt change with no real problems.

It's a solid gold bitch to replace. Access is poor, there's a complex mass of electrical connections need to be removed, and there's -just- enough space to get it out from the top.

Yes I did take a look 
The vid I saw had it out though the wheelarch
If I had time and swivel spanners Id think about having a go but with two other major shitshows to deal with atm my brain is in bits
I struggled to nail two planks of wood together yesterday
I'll just have to pay someone else this time
