Coil Spring compressors
#11
Looking up parts its not that simple
Springs are Heavy Duty or not and Air Con or not
What does the Air Con do with springs?
Some brands dont differenciate at all.

Top mounts ,again some brands dont care ( suggesting corners have been cut)
But some are giving a before or after specific RPO code.
Sods law my door pillar sticker is damaged and I cant read the code but adding the Rpo from the top mount on sale to 9 Nov 1976 gives a date several months after my van was registered so Ill take an educated guess on that
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

My B9 was a Multispace XTR 1.6Hdi had heavy[ier] than standard springs. It also had air-con and I suspect the reason air-con is mentioned is that the air-con heat exchanger is on the underside of the vehicle, so probably requires more ground clearance.

I think when I did mine, I just put my VIN number into the catcar site found the correct PSA group part numbers for my vehicle and then did an online search under those part numbers.

https://www.catcar.info/citroen/?lang=en

From memory, I think I used Borg+Beck top mounts cannot remember whose springs I used on the front.

I ended up buying the spares from this UK firm: https://www.partsinmotion.co.uk

as they had reasonable prices, a good selection and being UK based you could phone them up first and they checked what I was ordering was correct for my vehicle.

I know others have had poor experience, but I've used KYB springs on a variety of cars with no problems at all.

Their catalogue is pretty comprehensive, and has fitments for all the assorted body options. https://kyb-europe.com/catalogue/

Main Dealer-fitted replacement Offside spring
I cant find the part number for this one
5002Vx is the original type
So much for fitting in pairs
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top
