2021 1.5 - energy economy mode won’t go
#1
Every time I get in the van and out the key in the ignition I receive the message “energy economy mode activated” it also comes up on the touchscreen and says it will now power off. I cannot start the vehicle of do anything.

Any know what tends to cause the vehicle to get stuck in this never ending shutting down mode.

The vehicle has a brand new charged battery installed a day ago as thought that would solve the issue as the van has been sitting a while.

If no other solution I've seen a YT? Vid for another issue where he disconnected the battery and left it for hours with the lights and ignition switched on to drain out any capacitance
Might be worth a try?
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

Could the BSI not be recognising that a new battery has been connected, and if the old one had discharged maybe the BSI is still trying to preserve power supply? How much time do you get before the system shuts down? I often get the 'energy economy mode activated' message on the touchscreen, but then nothing happens and it disappears. Could you use the touchscreen to quickly navigate to a way of getting out of the shutdown mode?

I'm not overly familiar with the K9 series [never owned one] but I think there is a current/voltage sensor on the negative battery lead that communicates with the BSI. I know on some other vehicles that these type sensor can sometimes be reset by simply unplugging the plug on the sensor and plugging back in while the vehicle is running [but you need to check that is the case with the Berlingo K9, as I wouldn't want you to damage anything]

Other than the above, there is always the possibility that that current sensor has failed [or the wiring to the BSI from the sensor] so it thinks you have a low voltage and enters economy mode?
