My Bingo....

Hey lads, I did a bit of modding at the weekend, what do you think?

Satin black rims, mirror shells and grille: (click the thumbnails for the full size pic and select "open")

One-piece look window mod and tints + exhaust black-enamelled:

Next I think I'll do the bit under the body strips black too when I refurb the bumpers....?

Well dude , I like what you have done . . . nice grill ! I think that I would have been tempted to have left the Citroen emblem in chrome  that's just me though , it looks good all black .
I don't think I've seen your blue colour before either ! Good to be different eh ?
If you black the low side strips I reckon that you'll end up wrapping the bonnet soon after  then the whole van :woop: OMG where will it all end
Keep up the good work ! Thanks for pics

haha cheers lads, yeah that did occur to me about where it would stop if I did the sills. I may do the front bumper sides in the van's original blue and leave the centre section black ala audi stylee grille - and yeah I agree about the citroen chevrons, I should have left em silver, may do that yet.

I love paint mods as they can be dramatic when done right yet are pretty reversible as in you can always paint something another colour. The rear window was vinyl'd between where the doors meet then tints put on the inside, but i'm gonna use a pre-cut kit and redo the tints in limo black.

Still toying with the idea of doing the roof and bonnet black but not sure. ??

And joey-modding the headlights (painting the reflective chrome parts satin black)

Or a la Peugeot Partner !

Somebody else on here was doing this but I haven't seen the results yet.

Love to see somebody taking a bit of time and trouble to individualise their van - keep on with it

i've since cut 2.5" off the gear stick and refitted the knob, its peachy. much shorter shift and feels waaay better as the reduced leverage means you don't feel the slop in the shift bushings any more. Double Bonus!

Will stick some picks up when I find me camera....

The knob needed a squeeze with water pump pliers at the slimmest part and it popped off really easy - previously I had tried pulling, swearing, straining and grunting to no avail....a wee squeeze from the said pliers released the grip of the inside sleeve. The sleeve took some moderate twisting with the pliers to remove itself but it worked out a treat.

woo hoo Smile

All I'll say is..dont use a gas oven to soften the glue

Some inspiration though Wink

nice! it looks worth doing - a lot of the guys on the audi forum were into it when I had my B6 A4, it looks epic when done right. I may experiment with a hair drier or at least only use low heat in the oven.

Pics of the cut down gear stick (best mod in ages!)

Size of the section I cut off:

I came out of Scottish Power at Cumbernauld after my 6037 High Voltage SAP exams and the van just looked perfect the way it was sitting - really liking the look now. Next is to satin-black the bonnet section in line with the grille.....and do the roof.... gonna do the chevrons in alloy-silver colour instead of them being black like the rest of the grille.

How about black indicator side repeators-Ive seen them on ebay
Some are black on the outside rather than just smoked perspex.
Im guessing you dont want to mess with the blue paint but the side panels could be blacked out with high gloss material to look like limo windows
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top
