Mk 3. Has to pull a caravan; won`t be doing more than 10K annually. Don`t want bells, but do want a/c . . . Is petrol a decent option? (I`m not impressed wi the torque in my present xtr110) I do like the vehicle and would get another similar. But I don`t want to waste money!

Has to be diesel for towing, and unless you go for xtr spec you'll need to specify A/C as an option.

In your situation I think that I would be looking at having the ECU
reprogrammed. (chipped) My local Citroen approved repairer (Mid-Kent Vehicle Services)
does this and claims vast improvements on the 1.6l turbo diesel.
