1.6 petrol engine running but not revving

Hi all,

Had to have RAC out as the car wouldn't rev and engine light was in.

Quick diagnostic pulled up error code p1632.

Anybody know what this is?

Found this on a couple of sites by Googling -

P1632 Smart alternator faults sensor/circuit malfunction

At the Peugeot Central forum this was confirmed as an alternator problem which may affect other sensors on the vehicle. Apparently a
dirty or broken earth on the gearbox is often the cause.alut:

Cheers for that, wil check the earth connectios when the rain stops.

Just seemed really od the way it was just idling but not wanting to rev.

Finally got to the bottom of this, intake manifold pressure sensor failure.
