turbo whooshing sound

Hi guys is it normal to hear a whoosing sound after you rev the engine and let the turbo spool down ? 1.6 hdi 75ps 28000 miles.

I can only say that mine doesn't.It may be worth checking the induction hoses for security.

mine does it on 2.0 hdi but it does it when turbo is boosting but its not very loud and most turbo diesels i have owned have also done it so i believe its normal

ok cool thanks. Its when the bonnet is open so i guess that would make a difference.
