glow plugs

Got a dw8 06 plate multispace and am wondering if this car should have a glow plug light as mine hasnt.all worx ok and i always wait fir about 5 seconds and it starts straight away.

Glow plugs work on time and temperature.
They don't work unless outside temperature is zero celcius, or below.
Then the colder it is, the longer they stay on for.
Mine came on half a dozen times last winter, never had starting issues.
