My Father had a couple of Volvo 240's in the 1980's.
Don't remember him driving like this....
In fact don't remember Volvo's capable of this...
Only in their home country could some people called Team Bonnmeck do this to cars that had cushions on the parcel shelf fitted as standard.
Ok.
It's not French.
It's not Citroen.
It IS worth watching.
(Watch the street drag racing at 2:10 onwards. These Volvos are seriously quick. There is even a Lotus Cortina in the mix!)

Great stuff, i had a 2.3 Volvo GL it was no where near as quick as these.

Funny! Right at the beginning aside from the Mk.1 Cortina there was another car I used to own.
The red Volvo 740Turbo Estate.....I knew it was a turbo as it had the stock alloy wheels. I still have pictures of mine.

I love old Volvo's..The bigger and faster the better A 242 with a 2.3 five pot would go down a treat!

Just one question. Why? I can't see the point in burning off rubber like that. Scrubbing it off in a corner yes, but just adding it to the tarmac, no.
