dw8 engine timing belt slipped

i fan belt wrapped itself round bottom pulley ,[/size]turning engine by hand feeling like its hitting valve checked camshaft seems okay one cup there is one tinie bit of steel i have been reading on the net the say this engines do not bend valves could it be camshaft cups ,any more help thank you.

fixed it , set timing again in engine fit timing belt and new fan belt and replaced plastic pulley from alternator which caused belt to come off seems everything is okay ,does any member know how to convert from dw8 engine to XUDT engine from 306 with turbo thank you ,as the 1.9 engine is very slow thank you.

This has been done and there is rference to it somewhere on the site. Can't remember who did it though - try a search
