spray painting my sills

the old boy that had the van before me has rubbed the paint off the sill when he has been getting in and out...im looking for advice about spraying it as i have a garage i can use to rub down and spray them.but ive never done any spraying before,there is also a paint flake off about the size of a 2p on the bonnet that needs repaired....i went to a body shop and was quoted a scary price almost half of what i paid for the van so needless to say i made a quick exit.....if all else fails i have a tin of smooth white hammerite that i can paint both sills with :lol:

Unipart citroen white is a very good colour match, i would have a look on youtube at a couple of videos of prepping for paint on a car- picture worth a thousand words and all that!

In terms of a bonnet, I would probably just get one off ebay (about £40-60) and fit a new one......
