Nearly Just fell off my seat over Clutch Cable Price.
#1
Afternoon All!

Nearly Just fell off my seat over Clutch Cable Price.

I rang the local parts place. Gave me a price of £75. Which I nearly swallowed my own tongue. But they said depends if I have a BE3 or BE4 gearbox. So rang local dealer to find out who wouldn't tell me but their cable was £120 inc vat! I nearly fell off my seat.

I can't believe how expensive it is! It was only cause my pedal seems quite hard/stiff and kills my foot after a long drive. So thought I would try a new cable if that solves it. Thinking it would be £20. £30 max. How wrong was I!!

Google for one!
Eurocarparts do one for the 1.9 for around £30ish. But I'd plump for the Eicher range. (Same company...£5 more)
Here's one for the 1.4 for £16.44.

I can't remember which model you have and it doesn't appear to be in your profile.

E-bay in Germany has them for € 35-45 depending on model. Stealer in Switzerland wants CHF 175 !! True ripoff artists.
