Hello from Glasgow

Hi guys just been thinking about buying a berlingo. A bit of background I bought a brand new 2.0 Hdi berlingo in 2004 with aircon modutop and a host of extras. I really liked the car and the short time I had it 7 months I covered 20,000 miles, mainly touring and some business duties.

I decided to trade it in for a brand new Nissan Patrol 3.0 to tour Africa and Europe. I really was sad to part with the berlingo but the patrol was a beautiful vehicle. So fast forward 7.5 years and the patrol has now covered 267,000 miles. Surprisingly nothing has went wrong with it except the usual consumables but nothing has broken pretty damn impressive.

BUT the old war horse is going into retirement as I can no longer justify 15-20 mpg, basically it's killing us financially. So onto the point even after all these years I still have a soft spot for the berlingo and I want another. I have a soft spot for citroens as my father used to love his 2cvs and I grew up with them. In fact his last rally before he died was in the berlingo a 2cv meeting down in the borders in 2004.

I think I will buy a 6 month old one but need to get up to speed on the models and specs so will be asking you guys for some help and advice, so thanks in advance.

Thanks guys, I will post a few pictures of the berlingo in Cornwall and France. I still remember picking it up I traded in a 2.5 omega auto and was so happy with the fuel consumption! The month we picked it up we drove to France and we made it from Glasgow to Cornwall on one tank if my memory serves me right. I was keeping the speed down as it was still pretty new, we got the 1000 mile check up done before we headed to France. It was fully loaded to the roof with 2 kids in tow and it performed perfectly.
