A colleage got an advisory on his mot for this.
The garage says because the wear indicator is beginning to show on the right hand side he should get it changed.
Sorry for the huge image -you may have to scroll around to see all the numbers
What do we all think?
Advisory yes possibly, but Illegal?

It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

I would expect an advisory for this and think it still to be legal. Whether it's desirable is, of course, a different question altogether.

Tracking is slightly out if wearing on one side more than other and pressure is too low if wearing on the outsides more than the centre.
1.6mm is legal limit.
2mm is an advisory.
I would ALWAYS change before 2mm.

In Geoffs link there is reference to 1.0 mm over the rest of the tyre-which contradicts with both the links' own material and Andre's diagram(which it verifies as ok)
Horrible tyre anyway....
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

It's not great is it.... an advisory for sure, but imo there is still plenty of life left in that tyre, best get it changed before the next MOT though.

It looks as if the tyre has been under inflated.
