noisy engine ,continuous fan

hi have 2002 1.9 Dw 8 engine berlingo, changed starter motor, after starter motor changedm engine rattling like bag of nails,also cooling fan heater on permanently, have checked injectors, all ok, any suggestions please, desperate.

When you changed the starter motor, if you disconnected the battery, did you
do a BSI reset?

Hi,If the noise only appeared after changing the starter motor,suspect the starter.The pinion may be staying in mesh,hence the noise.Good luck. Re the fan,disconnect the switch on the rad.If the fan stops,bridge the plug terminals & the fan should run indicating a faulty sw.If the fan doesn't run the fault is in the harness.
KEEP HANDS CLEAR OF MOVING PARTS.Some of the fan checks can be done ign on,eng stopped.
