Anything is possible, BUT I bet it would cost a fortune!!

Google is your friend.

There are plenty of companies who will be only too please to take your money and do this work for you. Probably cheaper, quicker and easier to buy one with it fitted from new.

My van had AC from new, but for some odd reason all the parts of the system are no longer there???

All the electrical is still installed so its a little odd

Hi Muppet1,

I know this isn't a lot of help, but I once retrofitted an entire aircon system to a Suzuki Grand Vitara. And...? I wouldn't do it again!

It was 5 years ago. I bought all the parts new at about £600. Then spent 3 days fitting them, changing the engine pulley and adding all sorts of wiring extras, new radiator and finally the dashboard switch. I then had to drive with it switched off, to an aircon specialist to have it leak-tested and filled for £75. It all worked fine. :woop:

Now, all that misery was without having to reprogram the flamin' computer to tell it about the aircon or impaling myself on the Citroen "DIY traps" located throughout the vehicle. :S

All in all, as Monty Python would say "Run away!!!".....

I would never consider fitting it and I'm an air con engineer. It's not just all the gubbins under the bonnet, all the dash will have to come out to fit the evaporator. Swap the car, it's a no brainer.

I looked into this when buying my berlingo. Initially I thought that if you can buy a berlingo with ac, then the parts should retrofit into a non ac berlingo, this appears not to be the case, and the best I could get offered was a underseat unit which would cost about £1800 plus vat.

In the end I decided to spend another £750 on the XTR model with ac
