engine bay noise

when i switch my engine off there is like a whistling noise in engine bay near fuel filter area .it lasts about 10 seconds. also van starts to run rough sometimes seems to lose some power,if i stop and switch van off then start it again its fine .might not happen again for months .:brickwall: 02 1.9 diesel van dw8

Fuel pump pressure (+/-) subsiding could be the whistle.

Fuel filter clogged maybe for the second one.
Wouldn't hurt to change it if it hasnt been done for a while
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

just feplaced rocker cover gaskets and put everything back together and engine noise has stopped for now:woop:

All the citroens(all diesels) I have owned quietly whistle for a few minutes as you describe,including the C15 which was a 1.9 non-turbo.
All of them did this from new.
As long as the motor otherwise runs ok I wouldnt worry
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top
