Electric sun roof failure

Hi, I have a 1999 diesel 3 door Berlingo with a problem with the full length electric sunroof. Basically the motor is fine but the mechanism is broken on one side which means that it won't shut fully. Does anybody know if the motor can be manually wound in order to get the sunroof to shut? I've been told that some manufacturers incorporate this facility for just such occasions! Your help would be most appreciated, thanks, Mike T.
