This sounds like the resistor thing that drops the voltage thats why it will only work full power sorry cant tell you where it is on the berlingo but have had this problem on vauxhalls in the past

This will be the heater blower resistor pack.

Had exactly the same problem when I bought my van. (03 1.9d LX crew cab) Is an easily replaceable unit hidden behind passenger glovebox. Have a look, is plugged in horizontally to fan blower.[/font] New one from citroen is about £14.00 I believe... let me know what you think.. If fan only works on four, I am thinking resistance??

I had a similar-ish problem with my blower (Running full speed all the time)

Turned out to be the speed controller had gone short. Managed to fix it for a tenner. See http://www.johnandchris.screaming.net/be...blower.htm

It could be your controller has gine open circuit - If I recall correctly the variable speed control bit is in play when when you are at any speed other than full. At full chat there's a relay on the controller which bypasses the variable bit completely.

Sounds like that's cutting in OK - it's just the variable bit wot's knackered.

I had the same problem as Fluffykins and used the same instructions to replace the two resistors as Citroen quote over £100 for a new one.

I bought a repair kit of ebay and removed the old ones and soldered new ones in place and it works perfectly thereafter.

I seem to have the same problem - anyone brought one of these of ebay?

Any thoughts?

No I haven't bought the full resistor pack, I bought the bits that blow on the pack off ebay. No reason why that shouldn't solve the fault.

To be honest, buying the complete unit is much easier as you can just remove the old one from the fan and replace and then re-assemble it.
