Hi folks, I'm having a similar problem. I've already replaced the bit under the glove box, as that was a cheap and quick operation, but it didn't make any difference.
The fan blows at the right speed, but cuts in and out sometimes. Usually if I just touch the dial, it starts working again. So I suspect a dodgy dial/switch.
Can anyone help me replacing the dial/switch?

Is it a 4 position dial, or without numbers / positions. If the latter, I had exactly the same problem and had to work out just how hard to tap it!

Yeah, it's like yours, no numbers on. I do want to fix it, though, as I'm sure it's the source of my DAB radio woes, too. I had the DAB fitted about two years ago, and it worked beautifully, perfect reception for 99% of the time, but it's deteriorated gradually to the extent that I now can't get anything, and the FM doesn't work either.
I've read somewhere that a poor electrical connection is all it takes to knock out DAB reception, and the fan switch problem started about the same time...
