Reversing Lights
#1
My Reversing Lights don't work on an '07 Berlingo Hdi. I know I'm being lazy here as I haven't looked into the problem yet but was wondering what is the most common cause of this type of thing?? I have checked the bulbs and they are fine...

By the way, is not having reversing lights and MOT failure??

Switch, fuse and wiring to check then.
Technically, yes, it should fail.

I'm thinking switch myself more so than the other items, so where would the stitch be??

The switch would be worked by the gearbox but check fuses /relays first -easier to access than anything in the engine compartment.
If you can access a wiring diagram you will be able to tell which is which.

I reckon the fuses are OK as I checked them all 10 times over recently when I was trying to solve my Bsi issue, in fact I was kinda hopping that the reversing lights where linked to the Bsi issue...

However now that the Bsi is solved the reversing lights are still not working??

See if you can follow this.
Fuse 1 in the engine bay fuse box feeds the reverse switch.
Then the switched signal goes back into the fuse box on plug 16NR, goes through and comes out of 10NR, goes into the Bsi on 16VE, comes out of the Bsi on 16NR and finally feeds the reverse lamps. Confusedcratch:
It just goes through the Bsi to monitor the switch.
Lots of connections for a basic circuit.
Item 2200 is your reverse switch on the gearbox. Confusedalut:
