2. It's kind of soft & wallowy in the suspension departmnent (but then that can also be a good thing at times).

3. Power steering feels very light with little feedback.

4. Driving position, is it just me or is it offset to the left slightly???

To be honest the above points are very minor niggles I've found, on the whole I really like my Blingo'.

The +ve aspects far outweigh the -ve ones, you'll find things you don't like in any car to be honest.

The steering is light on early MK3 -very weird like an understeer, but 2012 is much better.
The steering offset on any blingo is nothing to a C15!
I suppose the advantage of a van is harder springs very firm when unladen but at a cost to your comfort on rough roads.
The eco mode would at least stop you running down your battery overnight if you left your stereo (or your hair crimpers) on-especially if you've turned down the volume in order to speak to an ocifer of ze loor, then forgotten it was still on.

I dont like the ugliness of the MK 3 -I would have just preferred an updated wider bigger Mk2 (like the Sherpa vans went wide when they became became LDVs) with the MK3 goodies-big door mirrors usb stereo, asymmetric back doors etc.
I hate the lack of cabin storage on the MK3 vans-just lots of silly little holes everywhere-but the plus side is the nearside passenger seat,it folds up in almost every direction.
OE Michelin Energy Saver tyres are great for fleet operators but not for those of us who have to venture off tarmac.
15"Wheels are too small for the arches too
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

Its funny that you mention a offset as I haven't noticed that yet.

15" wheels?? I have 16" wheels on my car but would love to sort the steering out though. Far too light and figeity for my liking.

Would a different brand of tyres maybe go some way of sorting the feel out??

I had a MK1 for 11 years and well over 100,000 miles - liked it so much I bought another, well at least a MK2 - and I'm not impressed.

1/ It is very noisy with road noise from the front, at first I thought it must be a bearing but it's not, I have even had other look at it and they can't find anything wrong -
Are MK2's noisier than MK1's ?
Is it the tyres that are noisy 'Continental vanco contact' ?
Is it just the 1.6hdi engine is quieter than the 1.9 and that allows road noise to be more obvious?

2/ I don't like the idea of the DPF and all the grief it may bring, seriously thinking of removing it.

3/ the ECO MOD and wiring particularly for the replacement radio was just plain stupid, not switching off with the keys for 5 minutes or so, and if you want to simply sit in the van listening to the radio, then it just keeps switching itself off.
I have now fixed this one by wiring the radio to the cigar lighter - that works off the ignition keys in a normal sort of way.

Hi Noel,Is yours a van or the greenhouse type?My 57 HDi desire is very quiet on Michelin Energy tyres.
The engine is also quieter so I suppose other noises will be more noticeable.
I did not expect it to be very quiet, being van based,so I am pleasantly surprised with the lower noise levels.

Bog standard van - I can only think it is tyre noise, but it seems very intrusive and was something I never ever considered on my last van.

Why do you have to start the engine to get rid of the ECO Mode, is there another way of doing this??

My biggest niggles would be the rattles, which dissapear then re-appear willy nilly. Other than that I quite like it, though I am close to lowering it to improve the handling and want to fit armrests in the centre for the front seats.
If it aint broke don't fix it... if it is broke, who gives a rats ass?

I find my Mk2 noisy too. It's got low noise tyres on the front too but does seem to suffer especially on our badly surfaced motorways.

Not a lot, really.

1) Pedals. The arm of the brake pedal catches my foot so that often when I brake hard, my foot is still partly on the accelerator. (This, by the way, was not a problem on my Mk1 Berlingo.)

2) Body roll. Oddly enough, this seems to be more of a problem on my HDi Mk2 Desire than it was on my petrol Mk1 Forte.

3) Seat belt warning noise. Again, a feature my Mk1 Berlingo didn't have.

Positively, my Mk2 Berlingo is actually a lot more quiet and civilised than my previous one was.

And I've never been bothered by the Eco-mode.

ECO MODE. Crap.
Too little power.
The Silver centre section of the dash looks like awful.
