Does any one know the difference between a 2009 1.6HDI and a 2012 model.
The bhp seems to be 92 on the older, and 90 now, and according the to manual fuel consumption is 40.4 urban, compared to 45.6 now - are there differences between these years models?

Dont know for sure but my '12 sounds very different from the '10 I had before(both 1.6 75's) and it doesn't chuck out a puff of smoke if you boot it hard up a hill.
I think DPFs were fitted before the MK3 arrived but that's a no-quoter..
Theres been a fair few changes over the whole car, in a couple of years especially in the suspension at both ends
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

in 09, the DPF was only fitted to the 110hp 1.6HDi, according to the brochure anyway. I'd have gone for that except that you couldn't get the family pack with the 110hp engine. Odd.
Other differences seem to be cosmetic - LED Daytime running lights in the front bumper, smaller wingmirrors, slightly more anglular nose and side plastic panels. But it would appear that the side panels are black on most models, irrespecive of body colour, which makes it look cheap. In 09, all VTRs were body coloured, now the Family Pack VTR has black, XTR has black, VT has black and VTR+ has black. WHY?

Hi Cascas , the 2009 1.6 90hp does not have a dpf fitted as they came in around my 2011 (september ) supplied car. This was the first dpf my dealer had seen on a Berlingo 90hp diesel as only 110hp models had them fitted prior to this. I had this confirmed at the time by Citroen as I specifically did not want one as it was to be used for the school run etc ie lots of smaller journeys which seen to clog dpf,s Saying that, we have seen the warning to drive at speed to burn off deposits/regeneration only once in 5,500 miles.

I think the current Mk3s have different floorpan to older Mk3s & emissions are lower as well.

Been informed that current 90 bhp model has DPF-WET system and the driving style is not affected.( Euro5 compliant ).
