Fixed cost repairs at main dealers

My own chap who comes to the house replaced my front pads for £70. I don't know what make the pads were but I do know he wouldn't fit rubbish and his labour rate appears to be £40ph. He's a gem and I've used him for over 20 years - sadly not many with his knowledge and integrity left now.

Not too bad with GJT's man but other wise my wallet will wince ..... I'd better get the " boy " trained up and also owing me a few favours as I won't be able to run a car on a pension otherwise..... don't fancy buses even with a free pass, well with all that standing in the rain who would.
