Hello,
Thank you for allowing me to join your forum.
I'm from Liverpool and love my '59 1.6 HDI 90 bhp manual XTR, because as another disabled ex Army and ex Fireman, I can't find a better vehicle to carry my mobility scooter.
Without my car I would be housebound, because even living in a city, public transport is inaccessible so it is a lifeline to me.

Welcome pcjenno, hope your Blingo serves you well!
Your comment about the mobility scooter is also interesting - my aunt uses one and it broke down the other week, fortunately only a hundred yards away but it did make me wonder if I could get it in the back of my Blingo. Would have to make some ramps I think...

We had probs a few years back with my late father-in-laws, trouble is that an inbuilt safety feature on the scooter meant that in the event of system failure the brakes lock on, luckily the car was not too far away in this instance so got him to safety and the scooter was one that broke down into smaller chunks for transporting so we got that back ok as well.

Thanks for feedback andywomble, until this minor incident I never had an encounter with a mobility scooter, but in my case it was a matter of a sticking switch/relay? on the back of the electric motor which is exposed to the elements. Lack of use & dirt build up I think. Bad engineering IMHO, 2 bits of sprung metal out in the open.
