If I still had my Mk2 I would have bitten your arm off for the leather seats alone!

Well, with over 44 watchers and a top bid so far of £156 it seems it is selling! Will be interested to see what happens over the weekend - and indeed whether the winning bidder actually turns up / pays - as I am going to be a bit cynical until all the money is in my hands Big Grin

We had one person write to us from Reims asking if it would make it back over to France - he fancied a project. Asked about nearest airport / rail station Big Grin

He bid. Big Grin Big Grin

We answered in the negative that really it wouldn't be advisable to try driving it all that way, or at least not without some sort of back up. Bet he was a bit nervous about that until he was outbid the next day Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Well the final, winning, bid was £460!

Mind you the buyer has yet to actually get in touch, so won't believe it until I have the cash in my hand...

All done and dusted. The new owner came and took her away yesterday afternoon. Paid up in full.

Best news is that he seems keen to do her up.

He's a small trader based in Colne, Lancashire, and seems to think he can add value / fix her faults and still sell for a profit.

We're not so sure, but good luck and we hope he does as she's been a good car.

He did say he'd be fitting a UK speedo / odometer, so I suspect the car will end up reading less than the current 210,000km, which is understandable but a bit naughty if he doesn't declare it to the new buyer.

At least everyone on here will be aware.
