Floppy Rear Sliding Door Handles
#1
I know this has been covered at some length in the forum, but I'm a little unclear about the pin replacement. Rolleyes

First of all, I am a complete DIY numpty, but I'm trying to change that ... fed up paying for something I should know how to do myself. With your help, who knows, I may even become a 'proper' man.

So, using the brute strength, just rip it off method I have removed the door card, trim and torx screws to reveal the rather complicated looking lock/operating assembly.

According to the 'Paynes' manual  I can see the two rods I need to unclip (marking first of course) and the two torx bolts holding the handle in place.

I assume once I have undone them the handle comes off?

The next bit is really unclear to me .... can anyone describe to me in plain (or even simpler) English what happens next? I think I just need to pull the knackered pin out and replace it with the new one. Lets hope it's that simple. Cool

I tell you what, if you help me out, I'll do a photo tutorial for the forum.

Cheers guys!

I'd seen some of them before.

It's still the handle I can't visualise. Can't find a photo or diagram of it anywhere.

Looks like I might have to dive in, sink-or-swim and see how I get on.

It's a problem with the old links on this forum.

You need to change the link from ".co.uk" to ".com"

For example:
https://www.berlingoforum.com/thread-276...=rear+door
